South San Francisco Parks and Recreation Commissioner Richard Holt has been selected by the California Association of Parks and Recreation Commissioners and Board Members (CAPRCBM) as the Outstanding Park and Recreation Commissioner of the Year! This is a highly competitive and prestigious state-wide award which is given to only one outstanding Commissioner each year. Rich’s outstanding qualifications for this recognition include not only a strong passion for parks and recreation, but many years of service, professional knowledge, collaborative efforts, liaison with community and professional groups, positive relationships with other boards and commissions, community involvement and volunteer service in a host of activities, among many other accomplishments.

Awards are presented each year during the California Parks and Recreation Society (CPRS) Conference. This year, awards will be presented at a dinner in Sacramento on Thursday, March 2, 2017. A contingent from South San Francisco will attend the dinner to join in congratulating Rich.
