The City of South San Francisco and the Library seek your photographs depicting people, places, and events of local historical significance. During the entire month of March, leading up to National Historic Preservation Month in May, trained library staff can digitize your photographs for possible inclusion in the South San Francisco Historical Society and Library History Room Digital Archives. We will treat your photos with care and respect, and return them along with a flash drive of high quality digital images that you can share with friends and family, post on social media, or upload to a genealogy website for future generations. You may also consider donating your photographs to the South San Francisco Public Library’s History Room.
Photos may drop off any day during the month of March or participate in one of our two, All Day Scan-a-Thons, and have them scanned while you wait.
Please be prepared to talk to us about your photos, and/or provide any information regarding the content of the photograph, such as year, location, business name, family names, and any other information pertaining to the photograph and its connection to South San Francisco.
